Australia U/20 squad for FIFA Youth tornament named
Young Socceroos coah Ange Postecoglou has named a 20 man squad to travell to the UAE for the FIFA World Youth Championship.
The squad sees four new names, three of which are plying their trade in England while the other is playing regularly for Newcastle. The new faces are David Carney (Everton), Sean Cooney (Conventry City), Jay Lucas (Southampton) and Jobe Wheelhouse (Newcastle United: NSL).
However with all new faces someone has to be omitted. The unlucky four sees three NSL players and one European player. Franco Parisi (Olymipic Sharks), Matthew Osman (Northern Spirit), Adriano Pelligrino (Adelaide City) and Mark Tsiorlas of dutch side Utrecht were omitted after helping get Australia through the qualifiers.
