Dave's World Cup

Final Set For Berlin

The biggest night in the FIFA World Cup Calendar has been set down more than three years ahead of the night itself.

The World Cup in Germany will begin on June 9, culminating exactly one month later with the World Cup final (July 9). Further more the final has been set to be played in one of Germany's most famous cities, Berlin.

While the official confirmation is still pending from FIFA, the stadium meets all requirements to stage the match. The major requirement (which is also required for the opening game) is that the stadium must seat 60,000 minimum.

Within a year the Organising Committee will be required to produce a match schedule to FIFA. This will be done once all proposals for opening and final matches have been rattified by FIFA.
